Welcome to Kenzie’s Korner, part of the Soul Reconstruction Project—a space dedicated to healing, reparenting, and rebuilding legacy through intentional storytelling.

I bring together my background in Film & Media Arts, Psychology, and a Master’s in Elementary Education. With my lived experience as a single mother healing from a high-conflict abusive relationship, past childhood traumas and toxic relationships, that journey transformed the way I approach books, parenting, and identity.

Here, we explore stories that do more than entertain. We search for trauma-informed resources that strengthen social-emotional learning, affirm identity, and help families break generational cycles.

As a teacher, author, and parent, I believe every story we share becomes part of the internal script our children carry into adulthood—and part of the healing our inner child still needs.
My project Care for My Hair expands this work by connecting the care of our natural roots to the care of the soul, turning simple hair routines into intentional acts of self-respect and restoration.
Through my upcoming hosting and directing opportunities with the Soul Reconstruction Project, I continue exploring how storytelling, identity, and reflection help families rebuild stronger emotional foundations.

This is more than a storytelling community—it’s a place where we unpack generational patterns and rebuild stronger emotional foundations for our families.
Where we reconstruct the soul and rewrite legacy.
